A website that is dedicated to football in Italy...
Footballitaliano.org is a website that focuses mainly on the Serie A and Serie B of the Italian Soccer. It was launched during the summer of 2008, and provides a comprehensive coverage on all things related to football in the peninsula.
The website provides an extensive coverage on the Italian national football team, and contains a well-documented record of the road to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa for the ‘Azzurri’.
Apart from the spotlight on the national team, fans of the sport can also find out about the latest happenings in the various leagues in Italy owing to an exhaustive coverage of the ups and downs of club football as well.
The football league system in Italy functions on the principle of a survival of the fittest. It has a process of filtering out the weaker teams at the end of the season, thereby resulting in vacant spots that are filled by the best performing teams from the immediate lower division in the hierarchical ladder
The Serie A is at the zenith of the Italian football league system, and is widely considered as one of the best leagues in the world. It contains 20 clubs, and is followed 22 more clubs in the second division, which is known as the Serie B. Fans of the sport can find out about the latest happenings sewn in with reports of all the action taking place in both these leagues.
Giuseppe Pisaniello, the owner of the website, explained his view of the content that flows out of the pages of Football Italiano.
“The site caters not only to the average football fan interested in the Italian top-flight, but also has enough to keep a football buff engrossed,” declared Pisaniello.
“This is particularly due to regular reports on events taking place in the Serie B as well.”
The site has undergone some changes in the recent past, and has come out with a brand new design that will enable the reader to easily browse through the latest news, views, and reviews of all the important events that take place in the realm of Italian League.
“We strive hard to make sure that the readers get the latest news, views, and a daily dosage of Football Italia,” he added.
Apart from focussing on the aforementioned league competitions, a thorough coverage on the Coppa Italia, Europa League, as well as the Champions League completes the circle.
“The Cup games in Italy are exciting for any fan of the league system in the peninsula,” he said.
“But we also make sure that we have a healthy dose of the Europa League as well as the Champions League to add to the unique flavour that is brewed in our pages.”
The owner signed off by stating his vision, hoping that the site will grow into becoming a by-word for Italian Soccer in due course of time.
“We have had significant improvement over the past few months, but now the sky is the only limit to what can be achieved,” he concluded.
